DATA GOVERNANCE SPECIALIST

We seek a fine Data Governance Specialist for leading Fintech in Lagos. You will play a critical role in ensuring that the company’s data is managed effectively and in compliance with all applicable regulations. This includes developing and implementing data governance policies and procedures, overseeing data quality and security, and providing training and support to employees on data governance matters.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures
• Oversee data quality and security
• Conduct data audits and assessments
• Manage data access and permissions
• Train and support employees on data governance matters
• Stay up-to-date on data governance regulations
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with data governance requirements
• Develop and maintain data governance documentation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field
• 4-8 years of experience in data governance or data management
• Experience with data quality and security
• Strong understanding of data governance regulations
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the fintech industry
• Experience with data governance software
• Project management experience
• Experience with SQL
• Candidate must demonstrate considerable stay in the previous roles
