NETWORK ENGINEER- Enterprise Network Engineering

Job Summary

A Network Systems Engineer will  be responsible for creating IT networks for businesses. Their duties include using their IT knowledge to develop company networks, coordinating with company leadership to identify network needs and providing assistance to employees and other individuals on how to use the network effectively.

Your primary duties include the day-to-day operation of computer networks that companies and organizations rely on. You will also be responsible for the maintenance of computer networks, hardware, software, and other related systems, performing disaster recovery operations, protecting data, software, and hardware from attacks, and replacing faulty network hardware components when necessary. You must have experience in enterprise network engineering, with a strong understanding of network design, implementation, and troubleshooting

Job Description

1. Design, implement, and manage enterprise network infrastructure.
2. Configure and troubleshoot network devices (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls).
3. Implement and monitor network security best practices.
4. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues.
5. Analyze network traffic and identify potential problems.
6. Document network configuration and procedures.
7. Stay up-to-date on the latest network technologies and best practices.
8. Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure network availability and performance.

Experience and Qualification

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. CCNA certification or equivalent.
3. 4-6 years of experience as a Network Engineer in an enterprise environment.
4. Strong understanding of network design principles and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
5. Experience with network management tools (e.g., SNMP, NetFlow).
6. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Experience with network security technologies (e.g., VPN, firewall).
10. Experience with cloud-based networking technologies.
11. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
12. Experience with network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
